WHY DO WE NEED A NETWORK CONNECTING THE PR PRACTITIONERS?

Public relations (PR) is a professionally, officially and widely trained, coached and practiced specialty and career in every aspect of social and economic life. PR is the method implemented by organizations or/and person to generate right, positive self-awareness, build mutual benefits and values, contribute to social development in a balanced and civilized way.

PR is built and carried out in diverse methods: direct communication, community activities, economic and cultural exchange, press communications, educations as well as other communications and connection methods. In the trend of modern communications, social media, digital communications, and online connection are becoming important factors connecting people, creating motivations, momentum to boost the development of PR industry to create a healthy social and economic life as well as uphold irreplaceable human values.

PR industry has been existing and going on the growth in Vietnam for many years. However, people still have not have the right and fully point of view about this industry, especially when only seeing it narrowly in business or spontaneous environments, seeing it as marketing tool, polishing the brand image to achieve practical goals. In reality, PR practitioners all have responsibility, passionate and bigger goals: to generate awareness and good connection between people, organization, specialties, between culture, between countries and regions (such as Vietnam, ASEAN, and the rest of the world.)

The PR practitioners have been forming career communities via corporate associations, social organizations or personal relationship. However, we do not have a real career community of our own to connect and build the industry focused and officially together.

By building a network/club of PR practitioners is an important first step, heading toward the long-term goal of a career social organization. With this organization, the PR industry will grow stronger, be recognized and honored as the career with its true meaning, contributing positively to the development of society and economy.
